Fettercairn
Scotland
Single Malt
One of four new Fettercairn expressions to be launched in August 2018, the Fettercairn 12 Year Old was intended to embody the distillery’s floral and exotic fruit-driven character. It was matured in American oak bourbon casks and bottled at 40% ABV.
Refreshing nectarine, white flowers and milk chocolate emerge initially. Black toffee and subtle roasted coffee provide darker notes underneath,
Tropical fruit and sticky Jamaican ginger cake add a sweet and spicy depth which a flicker of bitter herbs and vanilla complement.
Orchard fruits and soft spices linger.

Absolutely delicious, smooth and almost delicate with outstanding flavours.
Fantastic whisky, very smooth and goes down a treat, incredible flavours of tropical fruit and toffee in a stunning bottle, will definitely be buying this again.
Just finished a bottle of this. It won't be the last. Very enjoyable and a good price so 4 stars from me.
Nose: sweet, floral, hints of orange Palate: floral and berries, little bit oily and some honey-sweetness Finish: much oak, acidid, hints of agaves, very short All in All: A touch of nothing - but that in a consequent way
Based on this one taster of their work, I can’t understand why the Whisky Bible seems so harsh about the distillery. An enjoyable Highland malt that matches the taste descriptors listed; I particularly enjoyed the ‘sticky Jamaica ginger cake’ (both as a taste and a pleasingly written observation).
