A great premium blend from Famous Grouse. The now discontinued 12-year-old Gold Reserve features a higher proportion of malt whiskies from top distilleries like Highland Park and the Macallan.

Probably one of my favorite blended whiskies. Smooth, no real alcohol bite and just a really nice combination of flavors which work very well together. For the price, and the quality, it is a no brainer and one I often turn to when I don't want to hammer the expensive stuff too much. I can definitely taste the Highland Park flavour profile in it as well, particularly in the finish. If you don't like that then that is perhaps the only drawback. The naked grouse is also excellent but comes in at a much heftier price.

Excelente Blend, nada comparado con la version nueva aunque hay retazos de este en el.
Nose: Hint of tropical fruit. Palate: Very malty, bold and rich caramel. Finish: Long bright and very pleasant. Overall: The best blended whisky I ever had, hope to manage find it again somewhere.
Managed to find this from my local store. Was delighted with the aroma and taste. The shop only had 1 bottle. I am still slowly drinking it. Just cant get enough. The shop told me the same as it is not available anymore unless the supplier find any stock from his store just like this one.
