This beautifully packaged Edradour was distilled in December 2003 and bottled in October 2010, having been matured exclusively in Burgundy wine hogsheads.
Very sweet, biscuity nose, led by notes of steamed pudding in syrup, chamomile and barley. Hints of synthetic vanilla and spice.
Toffee apples, sticky toffee pudding and vanilla essence. Quite oily and robust, and certainly a dessert whisky if there ever was one.
Ends on cold tea, cola bottle sweets. Green and leafy, some porridge oats and more of that vanilla on the tail.
