Single Malt
Scotland
1 Jan 2009
Here we have the 2009 vintage of the Double Malt Double Cask from Edradour, a mixture of its own unpeated whisky, as well as its peated Ballechin expression! The Edradour malt was drawn from a single sherry cask, while the smoky Ballechin was drawn from a trio of bourbon casks. Great stuff for Highland whisky fans!
Please note: The bottle is a little wonky, though rest assured it's still doing a marvellous job of keeping the whisky within safe and sound!
Cocoa and oily nuts lead into red grape, warming chilli spice and peat smoke.
Chewy barley, Crunchie bar and chocolate-coated raisin, backed by a helping of earthy smoke.
Toasted baking spices linger.
