Edradour 35 Year Old 1989 (cask 368) - Enigma No. 2

The companion cask to Enigma No.1, this 35-year-old from 1989 was drawn from another first-fill oloroso butt, but bottled at a mighty 62.3% ABV. It’s an explosion of dark fruit, chocolate, and spice. Just 379 bottles were produced to mark Edradour’s bicentenary.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

Bold and brooding – dark raisin, espresso, mahogany, and rich toffee.

Palate

Thick and muscular with rum-soaked fruitcake, cocoa powder, and candied orange. A touch of clove and nutmeg adds spice and heat.

Finish

Bitter chocolate, figs, and oak linger with dry spice and sherry-soaked fruit.
