Yummy wine-cask-finished Edradour, drawn from a trio of hogshead which previously held Bordeaux wine! This was distilled in October 1999 and bottled 17 years later in February 2017 after 42 months in the Bordeaux casks. A release of 913 bottles.
Nose: Good Port, milk chocolate, fruit cake and cinnamon. Christmas in a glass, essentially.
Palate: Thick and luxurious mouth feel, carrying oodles of red fruit notes. A hint of dusty oak, too.
Finish: Orange peels, anise and cherries.
