Edradour 15 Year Old - 'The Fairy Flag'

Edradour 15YO Fairy Flag Bottling Note

A 15 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the Edradour distillery in the Highlands, released in honour of an upcoming Scottish film, 'Fairy Flag'. The film looks at the legend of the Fairy Flag, a mystical heirloom which is said to have almost magical qualities. The whisky itself is a rich, Christmas cake-y dram, sweet and spicy with touches of Sherry-soaked raisins dusted with dark chocolate shavings like you get on fancy desserts.

Edradour 15 Year Old - 'The Fairy Flag' Reviews

Never stop looking!

I have been looking for a bottle of this for over 2 years after trying a miniature!
My favourite whisky so far!
One lump of ice leave it to half melt tastes like butterscotch!

Well worth it.

Amazing flavor and bouquet.

Fabulous

By far the best Edradour I've had to date, and I cant really add any more to the MoM synopsis and the 3 reviews below, except that I concur with the review that says it needs water and a little time to open up if you want to get the best out of it. This may be my first bottle of fairy flag, but hopefully wont be my last.

Such a treat!

Awesome, heavily sherried dram!
Lots of first-fill cask influence and a ton of spicy oak influence with the Edradour spirit's house character just peeking through. Lovely, long finish.
Highly recommend!

Sweet, thick, and delicious!

Wow! Like the previous reviewer stated, I too got this bottle from watching Ralfy's review of this, and he's spot on with this bottle! This is unlike anything i've ever had, and quite possibly the best scotch i've bought this year. Not sure if I will taste anything as bold as this. Highly recommended.
