A delicious 13 year old Edradour, distilled in November 1997 and finished for 3-and-a-bit years in a single Moscatel hogshead before bottling in January 2011. There are just 435 decanter bottles of this stuff, all at natural cask strength.
Nose: Cut hay and strawberry conserve. There are notes of soft menthol, heather root, thick sweet malt and a touch of treacle too.
Palate: Creamy palate with notes of rhubarb and custard sweets, over-ripe strawberries, bruised bananas, digestive biscuits and peppermint.
Finish: Thick and sweet. A decadent whisky indeed!
