Bourbon
Another shiny bottle from the Ibisco Decanter series, this one is filled with Edradour whisky! Distilled in 2007, is rested in bourbon casks for over a decade until it was bottled at 12 years old, released at 57.5% ABV. A rather chocolatey release, this one!
Milk chocolate and bourbon biscuits, with oaky vanilla and a drizzle of caramel.
More chocolate biscuits, this time leading into peppery oak and vanilla fudge.
Chocolate-coated raisin appears on the finish.
Very bready and chocolately on the nose, with bags of vanilla. The bourbon cask influence really comes to the fore, with the high ABV adding punch. Even more vanilla in the mouth, with a strong peppery spice. The finish is very long, notes of bitter dark chocolate and espresso. A real winner.
