Edradour 12 Year Old 2006 (cask 414) - Ibisco Decanter
This particular Edradour single malt was distilled back in 2006, and then left to age quietly in cask #414 for the ensuing 12 years. When it was finally ready, it was bottled at cask strength by Signatory in March 2019, weighing in at a punchy 57.1% ABV and boasting quite a striking colour, too. The marvellous liquid was bottled into rather handsome Ibisco decanters.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Cherry jam, dried fruit sweetness and caramel sweeties with aromas of oily malt.
Palate
Bittersweet jammy damson, rich dark chocolate mocha, a good helping of pepper spice alongside floral honey and orange peel.
Finish
Light and fluffy chocolate cake and liquorice, with sweet berry compote and just a pinch of dried herbs.
