This was distilled at Edradour on the 14th September 1998 and it was filled into hogsheads before being transferred on the 2nd May 2007 for a finish in a Sassicaia wine cask. It was bottled on the 22nd March 2011 with an out-turn of 451 bottles.
Nose: Sweet and farmyard-y, with notes of Trappist ale, pepper, dried fruits, and peels, potpourri and fudge.
Palate: Grapey, very much so actually, with syrup, pepper and hops. An unusual, but rather delightful little whisky!
Finish: Good length. Simple and sweet, a little potpourri again.
