Decadent Drinks
Scotland
Single Malt
Independent bottler Decadent Drinks has teamed up with the one and only Whisky Sponge (off of the internet-based blog website which shares the same name) for a series of marvellous bottlings. This particular single malt has been dubbed Equilibrium One, and it was made with two casks – one of them a heavily sherried Edradour, and the other a richly peated Ballechin (the name Edradour uses for its peaty whiskies). Both casks were stuck in the telepods from The Fly (or just blended together – thinking about it, yeah, they were blended together, forget the telepod thing) to create an expression packed full of both sherried and peaty notes. Has an equilibrium been achieved?
Honey-glazed ham, Cadbury Fruit & Nut, charred oak staves, baked earth, and butterscotch sweeties.
Dense smoke with a vegetal edge to it, leading into raspberry jam and mocha. A hint of fruity red chilli flakes underneath.
Savoury oak, salted nuts, and the last hints of red fruit.
