Joining Edradour's Straight From The Cask series comes a terrific 10 year old single malt! Matured for a decade between November 2011 and March 2022, and as you might have guessed from the delightfully decadent hue, those ten years were spent in a single sherry butt. A release of 917 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Huge helpings of sherried fruits and baking spice, with roasted walnuts and cooked apple.
Palate
Mouthfuls of rich, nutty malt and sweet, waxy fruit. Honeyed dates and juicy raisins roll amongst dark chocolate and earthy clove.
Finish
Poached pear and more candied fruits counter the spice, with whispers of nutmeg and cinnamon poking through.
