Edradour 10 Year Old 2009 (cask 42) - Straight From The Cask
Well-sherried Edradour here, release as part of the distillery's Straight From The Cask series. It was distilled back in February 2009 and left to age in a single sherry butt for 10 years, before being bottled at cask strength in June 2019. 945 bottles were produced, each one with its own little wooden crate, which is wonderful.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Chocolate mousse, Christmas cake and a little burnt sugar.
Palate
Walnuts, pecans, prunes and plums. Clove and cinnamon heat develop underneath the sweetness.
Finish
Softly toasted oak, more dark chocolate, rich sherry.
