An 11 year old Ballechin - that's the name used for heavily peated single malt Scotch whisky from Edradour. Distilled in 2007, this expression was bottled in 2018 for the Straight From The Cask series after it was allowed to mature in an Oloroso sherry cask. A limited release of 874 bottles.
Peat smoke and dried fruit sweetness with a touch of coffee.
Dark chocolate covered cherries, honeyed cereal and piney vegetal notes alongside swirls of smoke.
More smoke and a drizzle of treacle.
