Ballechin 10yo 2010 #201 Bottling Note

Distilled on 20th August 2010, this single malt from Edradour is released under the Ballechin name, indicating there is peat to be expected here! After a decade of maturation in a single Oloroso sherry cask, the whisky was bottled on 10th June 2021, with a cask strength of 60.1% ABV and an outturn of 893 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose: Oily with a whiff of pebbly grist, smoked thyme currant buns, and earthy peat.

Palate: Flaked dark chocolate, rich malty oak, smoky peat, raisins and hints of dried savoury herbs.

Finish: Mixed spices and dark brown sugar, candied orange, figs, and smouldering ashes.
