Sherry
Smoky, sherried single malt from the Edradour Distillery, released under the Ballechin name (as is customary for peaty Edradour). This one was distilled in August 2010, and aged in an Oloroso sherry cask for 10 years, before eventually being bottled in April 2021 as part of the Straight From The Cask series. As such, it was bottled at cask strength, with no additional colours at all. 952 bottles were produced.
Meaty malt, with a drizzle of maple syrup and chocolate shavings.
Earthy smoke with peppery spiciness, juxtaposed by more chocolatey hints and some tangy orange.
Molasses, toasted cedar, and just a hint of smoked paprika.
