A smoky 10 year old single malt from the Edradour Distillery, released under the Ballechin name – which is what the distillery uses for its peaty expressions. This particular expression was released as part of the Straight From The Cask series, and as such, it was drawn from a single bourbon cask and bottled at cask strength without chill filtration or additional colouring. Only 321 bottles were produced.
Honey roast peanuts, smouldering embers, and caramelised peaches.
Dry smoke with more nutty notes underneath, plus a whisper of toasted marshmallow.
Very slightly herbaceous on the finish, with sweet popcorn and vanilla-rich barley.
