Bourbon
10 year old single malt distilled at Edradour, but with peated malt - hence the use of the name Ballechin! This expression was matured in a single bourbon cask from October 2008 to December 2018, and then bottled up for the Straight From The Cask series at 60.7% ABV, with an outturn of only 301 bottles.
Toasted teacakes, cooked apples, petrichor, ginger.
Quite spicy with smoky cinnamon and peppercorn, though caramel and sultana help to balance it out.
Lingering warmth of cassia and bonfire smoke.
