Duncan Taylor’s Octave collection presents an Islay single malt distilled in 2007. The whisky was aged for 17 years and received a finish in a small oloroso sherry octave cask before bottling in 2025. The compact cask intensifies the interaction between wood and spirit, layering dried fruit, nuts, chocolate, and spice over mature Islay smoke. Cask 11844876 yielded just 96 bottles at 53.4% ABV.

Nose
Raisins, orange peel, toasted walnut, dark chocolate, coastal peat, and polished oak.
Palate
Dried fruit, salted caramel, cocoa, baking spice, earthy smoke, and roasted nuts.
Finish
Oloroso richness, pepper, oak char, and lingering peat.
