Duncan Taylor's wonderful Black Bull blended Scotch whisky range welcomes a new member, a robust and full-bodied peated edition. Expect notes of dry, earthy smoke here, blending handsomely with juicy orchard fruit and layers of toffee sweetness.
Through sea salt and bonfire smoke comes brown sugar, orchard fruit and rich malt.
Stewed apples, toffee and lemon peel lead among earthy peat, roasted salt nuts and a little cinnamon.
Some salty and smoky notes linger.

All you can taste is the grain,zero flavour,if you like peated whisky there are better blends than this.Very disappointing. Just tastes like a bog standard blend but with a higher alcohol content.
