24 year old blended malt Scotch whisky, independently bottled by Duncan Taylor for The Octave series, which sees its whiskies finished in tiny octave casks. If you're familiar with names of teaspooned whiskies, this one's name might be one you've heard of – Beldorney. It spent three months in the octave cask, and was bottled at 53% ABV with an outturn of only 78 bottles.
Green apple and fresh raspberry, followed by a flash of orange zest. Buttered bread and polished oak later on.
Rhubarb and custard sweeties, ginger, plenty of earthy spice to go along with it.
Vanilla pod, a touch of beeswax, nutmeg.
