A fantastic single grain addition to indie bottling range The Cooper's Choice – The Vintage Malt Whisky Co. managed to get their hands on a cask from Dumbarton! Distilled back in 2000 – just two years before the distillery closed its doors for good. This whisky was matured in a bourbon cask for two decades and bottled at cask strength in 2021. There were a total of 234 bottles drawn from this single cask.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Buttery shortbread, waxed lemon peels, and vanilla cheesecake.
Palate
Lemon drizzle icing, sweet caramel, and fresh, toasted oak. Fragrant, floral vanilla, and freshly popped corn.
Finish
More light citrus notes, oatcakes, apple sauce, and yet more oaky vanilla.
