Description

A rare cask strength release from the Dufftown distillery, bottled as Dufftown-Glenlivet for Diageo's Rare Malts range, at cask strength this single malt is a rich, chewy dram with gorgeous spice notes.

This bottle was part of a private collection and may show signs of wear if of a certain vintage - if you'd like more detailed photos just get in touch!

Overall

The nose is rich with bourbon-sweetness. Estery notes with sugared peels and honeycomb. Notes of honeyed smoke with peppery fruit. The palate is full and rich with a chewy mouth feel. Notes of caramel vanilla fudge and rum with a touch of malt extract and spice. The finish is long and sweet with a delicate smoke and winter spice with sweet cereal notes.
