Dufftown 13 Year Old 2008 (cask 65A) - The Single Cask
13 year old single malt Scotch whisky from the Dufftown Distillery, which has been independently bottled by The Single Cask (with that in mind, it shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to find out this is a single cask bottling). It was distilled in March 2008 and matured for a baker's dozen years, including a finishing period in a refill Pedro Ximénez sherry quarter cask. In August 2021, it was bottled with an outturn of only 142 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Pancakes with maple syrup, dark chocolate, clove, and oak.
Palate
More fragrant oak, now paired with Rolos and vanilla blossom.
Finish
Sweet hints of raisins and dried cranberries, balanced by a smidge of cigar box.
