Probably Orkney's Finest Distillery 15 Year Old 2008 (cask 17885) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
We can't tell you where this whisky was distilled. What we can say is it was distilled at the finest distillery in Orkney (probably) in 2008. This single cask Scotch matured for 15 years in a refill hogshead before being independently bottled by Douglas Laing for its Old Particular range. Only 293 bottles were produced, naturally coloured and non-chill filtered.
Tasting Note by The Producer
Nose
Rock pools with dried up seaweed and charred oak, plus a sugary sweetness.
Palate
Oily and thick. Salted caramel plus peated barley, and a distinctly coastal style.
Finish
A moreish sweetness lingers with a hint of gentle spice and sea spray.
