In 2026, Cara Laing celebrated 20 years as the managing director of family-owned independent whisky bottler, Douglas Laing. To mark the occasion, she personally selected a series of casks to join the Old Particular collection, including this mystery single malt from one of the family's favourite distilleries. Matured in a sherry butt and bottled at cask strength, a robust 61.4% ABV, with an outturn of 668 bottles.
Sherried dried fruits and sultanas, brightened by orange zest, cocoa and polished oak.
Velvety fruitcake, treacle toffee and dark chocolate, spiced with nuts, cinnamon and clove.
Long and warming – espresso, sweet spice and a gentle, drying oak glow.
