Reviews for Dewar's White Label
Good party whisky
First of all, let me say that generally, if given the budget for it, I prefer over-the-top peaty scotches, laphroaig triple wood being my favorite, however... for an every day drinking scotch, or for poker nights/parties, this is pretty good, comparable to JW red label, they sell it in 1.75 liters for a reason! I prefer most of my scotches neat, but with Dewar's I add a splash of soda water, really cuts the offensive notes out of the flavor and brings out the slight hint of smoke that's present here. It's not going to win any awards, but for the money you can't really do any better than this. I prefer red label to it, but only slightly, and where I live this is a tad cheaper.

Very light flavor on ice
I'm new to Scotch, but this is one of the lighter tasting blended Scotches I've tried. No harsh burn but don't get the same satisfaction on the tongue like a stronger Scotch. I will say, it's a good after dinner Scotch because of it's lightness. Pick when you drink this one. If you have had a heavy meal and want a nightcap, I recommend it. If you are kicked back with a nice cigar, go with something with a little more flavor.

Off-putting aroma, harsh flavor
The first thing that hit me was the strong unpleasant aroma. But I underneath the smell of rotting wood, I was able to detect a hint of something sweet. The flavor has some good elements of honey and toffee, but it is mostly just harsh and medicinal. The finish is hampered by its numbing bite.

Great go-to whisky
Love scotch, from a blended regular drinking scotch, it's excellent. Love the taste it's always consistent. That and the Famous Grouse are my favorite blends.
