A. D. Rattray acquired a bottle of Stronachie single malt which dated back to 1904. Using this, they tried to find a current day whisky that matched the flavour of the expression from the long closed distillery. They decided that whisky from the Benrinnes distillery in Speyside matched it very closely and have bottled some under the Stronachie name. This is a 10 year bottling.

Bland little of character compared to other more distinctive Speysides. Nothing stands out.
It's not no not I thought would be it sounds like American Whisky which I don't drink but have tasted and wish you can send most of these unknown Scottisch whisky I dig them but we've got less here in S.A. please send different distillers
What a fantastic little whisky. Honey and Green apple dominates the flavor with later vanilla and lemon spicy bits. Perfect balance and reach smooth aftertaste. Very enjoyable drop, now I have to try also the 12 years old version...
I can't believe how this has slipped under the whisky radar. Clean and tasty, possibly the nicest sip in current whisky at a decent price.
For the money it's the best Benrinnes you'll get. Clean sweet and tasty, it,s a bargain.
