Old Orkney Relics - Decadent Drinks 70cl Whisky

A treasure from independent bottler Decadent Drinks, which, some years ago, purchased the Old Orkney brand from Gordon & MacPhail. In the distant past, the original Old Orkney Relics brand was used for blends that contained the final stocks of the Old Stromness distillery, which closed its doors way back in 1928, then Gordon & MacPhail continued to release its own Old Orkney blend. This relic is drawn from the last cask of that blend, created by Gordon & MacPhail in 1996 during the era when they were custodians of the Old Orkney name. Matured for over 30 years in a refill sherry butt and bottled at cask strength. A bright, elegant old blend, layered with notes of heather honey, beeswax, and dried fruits.
