The gang at Decadent Drinks took a trip to Islay to seek out this addition to the incredible Islay Sponge series. Distilled in 2008, the single malt spent 14 years maturing in a refill sherry butt before being bottled at a big bold 60% ABV. Kildalton is the name of an old Islay parish on the island's south coast, which is also home to some of its most well-known distilleries — a clue, perhaps, as to the origins of this single malt.
