Description

Chapter Thirty Eight of Decadent Drinks' Whiskyland ventures into a sadly closed Speyside distillery. Distilled in 1995, this 30-year-old single malt spent its life in a second-fill bourbon barrel before being bottled at a cask strength of 49.9% ABV. Only 150 bottles were produced.

Nose

Green and yellow tropical fruit with slightly overripe mango and banana, followed by layers of honey and beeswax. Fresh herbal notes keep the mature fruit lively.

Palate

Creamy and waxy, with crystallised honey, dried tropical fruit and lemon peel. Cedar, sandalwood and dried herbs develop alongside eucalyptus and drying pepper.

Finish

Dry wax, honey, vanilla and banana chips, followed by a cooling touch of camphor.
