Deanston 9 Year Old 2009 (cask 13199) - Old Particular (Douglas Laing)
A single cask Deanston, kindly bottled by Douglas Laing. It was distilled back in September 2009 and left to mature in a refill barrel until it reach the age of nine years. Then, in April 2019, Douglas Laing independently bottled the Highland single malt at 48.4% ABV, with a release of 359 bottles for the Old Particular range.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Lots of cinnamon, barley, lemon sweeties and freshly cut grass.
Palate
Stewed apple and pear, quince, toasty oak, gingerbread and oily malt.
Finish
Aromatic spices build on the finish with a medicinal hint and a drizzle of honey.
