A single cask Deanston, kindly bottled by Douglas Laing. It was distilled back in September 2009 and left to mature in a refill barrel until it reach the age of nine years. Then, in April 2019, Douglas Laing independently bottled the Highland single malt at 48.4% ABV, with a release of 359 bottles for the Old Particular range.
Nose: Lots of cinnamon, barley, lemon sweeties and freshly cut grass.
Palate: Stewed apple and pear, quince, toasty oak, gingerbread and oily malt.
Finish: Aromatic spices build on the finish with a medicinal hint and a drizzle of honey.
