A single malt from the Deanston distillery, which has been independently bottled by The Single Cask. This expression was distilled in December 1997 and aged in cask #1982 (coincidentally, 1982 was the year Deanston closed before being reopened the 1990s). It was bottled in February 2018, producing just 251 bottles.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Oak-y vanilla, soft pineapple and a hint of chocolate.
Palate
Juicy kiwi and apricot, followed by flapjack and cinnamon.
Finish
Subtly salty, though honey and red grape notes keep sweetness at the fore.
