Deanston 19 Year Old 1999 - Single Cask (Master of Malt)

A dreamy Deanson single malt, matured in a single bourbon hogshead cask from October 1999 to March 2019. Following that 19 year long slumber, we bottled it up for our very own Single Cask Series range! No chill-filtration, not additional colouring, just excellent whisky from a fantastic distillery in the Highlands.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

    Nose

Through a subtle hint of smoke, there’s zesty orange marmalade, thyme honey and butterscotch, as well as oak spice, vanilla and a little leather.

    Palate

Spicy cedar and nutmeg prickle through soft stone fruit, buttery malt and oaky vanilla. A little pink grapefruit and a touch more smoke add depth underneath.

    Finish

Mostly sweet, with more honey and some raspberry, and then a hint of salinity.
