Nose: Through a subtle hint of smoke, there’s zesty orange marmalade, thyme honey and butterscotch, as well as oak spice, vanilla and a little leather.
Palate: Spicy cedar and nutmeg prickle through soft stone fruit, buttery malt and oaky vanilla. A little pink grapefruit and a touch more smoke add depth underneath.
Finish: Mostly sweet, with more honey and some raspberry, and then a hint of salinity.
