Deanston 18 Year Old 1999 (cask 92411 & 92412) - Chieftain's (Ian Macleod)

This delicious Deanston was distilled in June 1999, aged for 18 years and finished in a Pomerol wine cask before it was bottled for Ian MacLeod's Chieftain's range in April 2018. The total outturn for this release was 420 bottles.

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose

A blend of dark molasses, mixed conserves and chocolate biscuits.

Palate

Diced raisins drizzled with honey and sprinkles of brown sugar lead, with spicy cinnamon, black pepper and dried prunes underneath.

Finish

Lingering ginger, caramel and oily barley.
