Deanston 13 Year Old 2007 (cask 900141) - Cask Strength Collection (Signatory)
A sherried Deanston here, independently bottled by Signatory for the cracking Cask Strength Collection. It was distilled back in June 2007, and allowed to age in a first-fill sherry butt for 13 years, before being bottled in January 2021. Of course, it has been presented at cask strength - a hefty 63.9% ABV. 613 bottles were produced.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Honeycomb, hazelnut spread on rye toast, dates, a big whack of ginger.
Palate
Winter spices galore, with summer berries to juxtapose the warmth (and the season, we suppose).
Finish
Chocolate peanuts, Seville orange, white pepper, raisins.
