Deanston
A 12 year old single malt from the Deanston Distillery, which was distilled in 2008 and filled into Oloroso sherry casks. After a dozen years, Deanston deemed the whisky ready for the world to enjoy, and bottled it up at 52.7% ABV. Expect dried fruit and rich honey notes galore here, folks!
a superb dram containing all you hope for in a sherry cask scotch. it needs a little time and a drop of spring water to open up to taste it at it's best, & one i'll definately buy it again
A belter of a whisky! Vert drinkable. Not smokey at all, smooth yet fruity. And at 52% has just a little bite. Love it
Lovely sherry bomb. Powerful on the nose as soon as you open the bottle. Toffee and caramel. Big cask strength flavour. Can take a drop of water, but almost more fun without to maximise that bold sweetness.
Great sherry whiskey! one of the best 12years old whiskey that I tried, love it need time to breath.
I think this expression of Deanston is the best whisky I have had. Their distillate suits my taste preferences perfectly and the Oloroso cask maturation is perfect for it.
