An intriguing release from the Darkness independent bottling range, which sees 12 year old Tennessee bourbon whisky finished in Oloroso sherry octave casks! This has introduced a huge dollop of rich, intense sherried notes to the spirit, while keeping its distinctive vanilla and baking spice at the core. Always fascinating to see whisky from the USA go through similar finishing processes as expressions from closer to home. This is a fantastic bourbon full flavour, very sweet cherry fruit cake with just a pinch of spice. The finish is warm marzipan And soft brown sugar. How have I missed this one, worth every penny.
I cannot get enough of this delicious Bourbon it has everything sweetness richness and packed with a flavour on my third bottle. What can I say?
Defo agree with the water comments as this is a little too much for me straight even though it is delicious and has massive flavour. That being said this 100% makes a 1st class old fashioned and am going to be ordering a few more bottles of this stuff.

A pretty decent bourbon that opens up with a little water added. I wish I had noticed that this is only a 50cl bottle as I had assumed at this price it would be a regular 70cl bottle - disappointing as I would have probably spent my money elsewhere.
