Secret Speyside (Farkness) 12 Year Old Oloroso Cask Finish (Darkness)
If heavily sherried Speyside single malt whisky is your kind of thing, then this indie bottling from Darkness will be right up your street! The whisky spent a dozen years maturing, finishing with a stay in little oloroso sherry octaves, ramping up layers of citrus, walnuts, and sticky date sweetness. The distillery is officially undisclosed, though the nickname Farkness means we're not left completely in the dark here. A release of 109 bottles.

Nose
Wonderfully intense, cream sherry, touch of mint, overripe fruit, VERY rich, complex and inviting.
Palate
Powerful and full, 3D, widescreen. With walnuts and dates and orange peel.
