Darkness! Peatside 6 Year Old Moscatel Cask Finish
Intensely well-sherried blended malt Scotch whisky, bottled for the Darkness! range. This expression of Peatside (which is made with a secret recipe!) is 6 years old, and has been allowed a finishing period in a tiny, specially-coopered, 50 litre Moscatel sherry cask, producing only 83 bottles. Loads of smoke, loads of sherry - it's an intense one!
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Rhubarb, redcurrant, black pepper and mint chocolate.
Palate
Damp oak, Christmas cake, a hint of sharp green apple, flames orange peel.
Finish
Lasting coal dust and nutty caramel. A hint of praline, too.
