No matter where you are, winter is coming with the Game of Thrones Single Malts Collection, with this Dalwhinnie single malt pledging its allegiance to House Stark. Produced at the highest altitude working distillery in Scotland, it is light gold and bright on appearance and has been slowly matured in 100% ex-Bourbon casks. Dalwhinnie is known for whiskies that possess a unique floral heather honey character.
If the lone wolf dies but the pack survives, we're hedging our bets that the pack has their paws on this exquisite whisky.

Tasting Note by The Producer
Winter’s Frost gently opens on the palate with rich manuka honey served over fresh figs, before it slowly develops on the palate into delicious malt balls and finally a rich fruit cake finish.

Nice enough, but why pay for packaging
Hmmm... Rather torn.
I do like a Dalwhinnie, and this is by no means poor, but is it as good as the 15yo expression? No, IMO. It's an extra £x, because of the rights, associated with the packaging. I notice that pretty much all the GoT expressions are currently marked down, so it seems not too many failed to see that.
If you're buying up the GoT range, in hope that it'll appreciate in value, good luck to you! If you're intending to drink it, either wait until when this is offered at a lower price than the 15yo, or buy the 15yo.

Excellent all round sweet afair
For the price you pay its a nice enough whiskey, i got mine ahead of the new season and enjoy its very sweetened, heavily honey pallet.
It contains very little ethnol burn, or spike on the tongue. The whiskey itself is however a rebrand of Dalwhinnies permanent shelf stocker Winters Gold. Which is available at the same price all year round.

Good value for money.
It's a nice Highland Scotch. No regrets for buying it.
It's great value for money although I do think there are better highland whiskies available for about the same price. But if you're a GoT fan, it's definitely one for the collection and not bad at all.
