This 2005 vintage Dalwhinnie Distillers Edition single malt has been finished in an Oloroso sherry cask before being bottled in 2020. The expression has enjoyed a double maturation and the cask has helped lend an unctuous sweetness to this Highland single malt, giving it both aroma and flavour that makes it stand out from the crowd. Dalwhinnie fans will note the delicate marmalade complexity of this offering. The Oloroso sherry cask generously contributes layer-upon-layer of high notes that harmonise, without taking over.
Heather and honey.
Rich and indulgent spice and juice along with an elegant marmalade zestiness.
Oak and a little peat smoke with a hint of vanilla.
