2017's Dalwhinnie Distillers Edition features whisky distilled back in 2002 and finished in casks that previously held Oloroso Sherry. Brilliant stuff as ever from this series.
Heady notes of fresh raspberry and dark chocolate, with touches of crumble pastry underneath (very pudding-esque!).
Pomegranate, toasted brown bread leading to a hint of smoke, clove.
Blackberry and raisin linger on the finish.

Personally I much prefer this to the 15 year old signature. Beautiful tasting whisky and is one of my favourites.
Really good version of Dalwhinnie, despite so called experts saying 15 yr old is better.Lovely sherry, nutty, coffee flavours on the finish, very tasty and a whisky to really savour and enjoy. Its become one of my favourites!
Fantastic distiller's edition. Really delightful. Dalwhinnie 15-year-old is a favourite of mine, but this edition is superb and I hope I can purchase some more when it becomes available again, as it is presently sold out.
Purchased a bottle on exiting the distillery from the tour. A lovely sweet taste from the start with flavours of smoke, roasted nuts and hints of winter fruits. 7/10 A nice one to add to existing collection. I have winters gold which I also tasted on the tour.
