Enjoyable Dalmore

Have to admit it’s been eons since I’ve purchased a Dalmore, but my local distributor had this nifty set, and it was cheap as chips, so I gave it a go. On the nose was sherry cask and raisins. On the palate was aromatic orange, sherry cask, cereal notes, spices and raisins. Medium-long finish with bitter chocolate and barley. After a few drops of water, it opened up and became a bit sweeter, with richer sherry notes. I gave it 4 stars out of 5 as it lacked the complexities I was expecting, but an enjoyable dram nonetheless.
