A big, spicy Dalmore bottled by Douglas Laing for their Old Malt Cask range. This was distilled in April of 1999 and was aged for 12 years in a single refill butt before bottling in April of 2011. A release of 429 bottles.
Nose: Bitter orange peel and pear juice, hints of cinnamon and tobacco, gingerbread and maple spices.
Palate: Pineapple and coffee, ginger, maple syrup and thick, creamy malt. Very rich.
Finish: Long and rich, apple juice and pepper.
