Dailuaine 12 Year Old 2008 (cask 308909) - Auld Goonsy's Malt
Single malt from Speyside's Dailuaine Distillery, independently bottled by Auld Goonsy's Malt. Distilled back in July 2008, the whisky was matured in a sherry butt for 12 years, before eventually being bottled in June 2021. Only 574 bottles were drawn from this single cask, bottled at cask strength and without chill filtration or any added colour – it's a wonderful example of whisky from Dailuaine.
Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt
Nose
Toasty malt and roasted nuts, sweet cinnamon buns, and creamy vanilla.
Palate
Oily oak, sultanas, and gentle baking spice alongside honeyed cereal and a touch of zesty marmalade.
Finish
Sugary jam, more cinnamon, and a touch of herbaceous, oaky pepper.
