Dà Mhìle Tokaji Cask

This special edition Welsh single malt whisky from Dà Mhìle was distilled in 2019 and matured in a host of Tokaji barrels. These prized Hungarian sweet wine barrels are hard to come by, and after months of negotiations, the team at Dà Mhìle managed to secure a small supplier willing to let some go. The only catch? The casks had to be collected in person. Thus, the master distiller made a road trip from South Wales to Hungary, the deal was done, and now we have this splendid single malt, packed with notes of dried fruit and cakey spice!

Tasting Note by The Chaps at Master of Malt

Nose Rich and nutty with layers of toasted almonds, pecans, maple syrup, and oaken vanilla.

Palate Festive spices, fruit cake, biscuity malt, and plump dried fruits.

Finish Waves of vanilla custard, caramelised sugar, stewed fruits, and nut brittle.
